So, after endless cancellations and re-arranged dates, Carla and Lisa finally managed to ‘tie the knot’ at Saffron Walden Town Hall, Essex. It was a small and intimate affair which was just perfect, and as an alternative wedding photographer…it was even better! I’ve been lucky enough to call Carla a dear friend for many years now, so I was honoured to capture hers and Lisa’s special day surrounded by their closest friends and family. If you are after a small and personal wedding in the heart of rural Essex, then carry on reading this blog.

Yes, I love to photograph weddings and yes, I love to photograph families, but did you know that I also love to put my creative juices into action by photographing businesses. Businesses hire me because of my alternative approach to photography and the unique imagery I can bring to the branding of their company. Creating a personal brand can be the key to supercharging your business.
It’s a very unique time we’re in at the moment. 2020 was the boom year of ‘The Micro Wedding’ which turned out to be the perfect timing for Joe and Chloe in the end. I have been wanting to photograph some skateboarders for quite some time, but never quite had the opportunity until now. Somehow, I always knew it would fit my alternative photography style and would be a match made in heaven. So, enter my kids being of a teen age, them having friends that are seriously into skateboarding, talking things ollies, kick flips, heel flips, backside 180’s etc, whilst chillin in my front room and admiring themselves on their YouTube channel. This got my creative photography ass mind a-wandering….so I approached them with the idea of doing a photoshoot….and the rest is history, or so they say!!
